Gas4Sea partners Engie, Mitsubishi and NYK are to supply LNG as marine fuel to Norwegian energy group Statoil, supplying bunkers at Rotterdam in the Netherlands to four crude shuttle tankers.
Statoil will deploy the four dual-fuel tankers from early in 2020 on northern European routes. Gas4Sea’s purpose-built 5,000mᶾ LNG bunker-supply ship Engie Zeebrugge will deliver the fuel in Rotterdam, rather than at its Belgian home port.
Engie Zeebrugge’s anchor customer is United European Car Carriers, for two LNG-fuelled newbuildings. The ship arrived at Zeebrugge in February. It delivered its first bunkers at Zeebrugge’s Fluxys LNG terminal in June.
