Engie Zeebrugge delivers its first LNG bunkers
In service: Engie Zeebrugge has completed its first ship-to-ship transfers of LNG

The world’s first purpose-built LNG bunker-supply ship has completed its first transfer at Belgium’s Port of Zeebrugge, loading gas as marine fuel on the UECC-owned car carriers Auto Eco and Auto Energy.

Engie Zeebrugge delivered the fuel to the two car carriers while cargo operations were taking place. From now on, the LNG bunker-supply ship will refuel the two car carriers weekly at the Belgian port.

Owners Fluxys and the Gas4Sea partners Engie, NYK Line, and Mitsubishi took delivery of Engie Zeebrugge in April. The Hanjin Heavy Industries-built, 5,000m³ vessel is based at Fluxys’ LNG terminal at Zeebrugge.
